Comments---350z Convertible--should Nissan add a detachable hardtop!
I can't wait for the convertible to come out! The coupe is awesome, but I love top less! But I think Nissan should add a detachable hard top for the accessory line for the Z roadster. I assume Nissan or Nissan reps browse these threads to find what new Z owners are looking for. This happened when I purchased my S2000. I was sent a survey and asked any opinions about the car---later I joined S2000online.com and soon alot of owners were giving there input such as a glass rear window and a Hardtop (which was only availible in Japan)--you could get one but you had to find an import store. Then in 2002 Honda produced a glass rear window and made the hardtop JDM availible in the US. I would encourage any similar input about this topic if anyone is considering a Convertible--plus it would help keep the canvas tops in excellent condition (after about 4 years they will fade unless covered) Thanks for reading--just thought I would share some info!
A hard top makes sense for the S2000 since it only comes as a convertible, likewise Mazda's Miata, but since the 350Z can be purchased as a coupe I don't really see much of a motivation for them to offer a hard top. Just my thoughts.
YES! not really a detachable hard top but a targa roof. that's what the corvette has, a hardtop track model (z06), convertible, and targa model. the hardtop doesn't have a sunroof and believe it or not, some people buy cars that have sunroofs and it is a major factor for them while others couldn't care less. i think it would be so cool to have t-tops or targa like the 300zx, it added to the coolness factor...
