Back in my ZR after 6 months!
AHHHH, felt so good to take her for a spin.
Took my time changing the oil and checking over everything before starting her up. It felt funny updating my maintanance log book and putting the same miles as 6 months ago, 3321! Wife thought it was funny that I left myself a note on the drivers seat reminding myself on all steps to get the Z running again.
DO NOT START UNTIL
1. Fully charge battery with battery maintainer
2. Change oil/filter
3. Install new magnetic oil plug
4. Put PSI down to 35 PSI, check tires for flat spotting
5. Remove plastic covers from rear muffler tips
6. Remove oily rags from intake opening, check air filter
7. Install battery
8. Inspect all wiring and fluid levels
9. Have fun driving and get all the old gas out before re-fueling!
Call me ****, I know
She felt brand new as when I drove it off the showroom floor back in Jan 07. Fell in love with her all over again. Man it felt great driving the ZR again! Forgot I had to press down on the stick to get it in of reverse, wife cracked up!
Now I just need to get my Volks on and drive all the old gas out and I am set!
28 more days of fun spirited driving, then back in storage for 5 months,
Cheers,
