Glad to see others with the same experience. I almost got the coupe to save some money(even though I always wanted the roadster).

I still get chills thinking I almost blew it. I think 80% of the thrill is with the top down. I HATE driving with the top up. I got it in Nov 04 in Denver, so driving top down was intermittant, that was torture. If it's sunny and over 50 I am going topless everytime!

My friend got me a custom parking place sign that says Slash's 350Z Parking Only...Go Topless or Go Home!

I did a 320KM drive the other day with the temp around 12 celcius (55F). For the two hours or so it was no problem, but at 130 KM/H I started to get tired from the noise so I did the rest of the way with the windows up. It makes a big difference. Love the ZR!

i go top down daily.....i had my ZR for 3 weeks and i only drove with it top up i think twice.....the fun factor is not there when its up and the vision through the rear window is minimal....to me it feels boring with it up and less attention...lol...it feels more like a real sports car when its top down speedin trhough the highway and hearin the exhaust.....a lot more fun top down..dont you guys agree?....thats one of the main reason i bought the roadster...right?

Actually once you get enough experience driving it with the top up its pretty easy.. I got my drivers side set so as soon as the car leaves my review mirror my side mirror picks it up, eliminates the blind spot..

Yep adjusting the mirrors is mandatory for the ZR.

I back into a parking spot everyday (usually with the top up because its only a 5 minute drive from my house). I can back in with the top up with ease now. You just have to keep track (as you drive up) of people that could end up behind you.

What's the point of keeping the new car smell, especially if it is at the expense of having to drive with the top up instead of top down? Doesn't make sense to me.

I got a convertible so i could enjoy driving it top-down (not to preserve the new car smell). That's why I drive mine topless 99.5% of the time.

Unfortunatly i live in NY and just bought my Z weeks ago... so i was only able to drive with the top down about 4 times... i work all day and of coarse my days off are the cold ones... i cant wait for spring time so i can drive with the top down and not have to worry about gettin chilly.

i still cant beleive i bought the roadster haha... ive been wanting a coupe for the past 2 years and all they had on the lot in a 6spd was the roadster so i test drove it and fell inlove with it...
