Question about clutch and shifter
Hi,
I am looking at 6spd 2004 enthusiast roadster from Nissan dealer. I noticed the clutch is pretty hard.. compared to the cars I have owned in past like 2004 audi tt, 2002 bmw 325. I did have a 2003 mustang GT whose clutch was hard and seems to be comparable to 350z effortwise. Do all the 350z require substantial effort to depress the clutch? Or is there something wrong with this car's clutch? I will be using this car as daily driver in some stop-n-go traffic about 40 miles daily.
Also the gears don't change as smooth. I mean I had to somewhat push the shifter to change the gear.
Another question.. the factory warranty is expired but the dealer is willing to give 3 years extended warranty... can someone tell how good this extened warranty would be compared to factory warranty?
He is asking 26k with extended warranty. The car has low miles - 14k. Does this sound like fair price?
Please do give some suggestions..
Thanks,
Vez

That doesnt like that bad of a price. You could probably do a grand or so better. That warranty better be bumper to bumper because there should already be 6yr 60,000 powertrain on the vehicle from the factory. Also check the warranty for exclusionary items(which generally exclude the warranty company from paying anything). The clutch and shifter are normal. Get used to the way it feels and everything else feels like garbage. Enjoy!!!
