Question Tire Decision

I have an 06 Roadster and m about to go with wider rims. Anyway I want a tire with at least as much grip as the stock tires and not so much noise as to not be able to hear the radio and exhaust with the top down.

Help appreciated

275/40/18 and 245/40/18 and how are the nittos on sound and wear? Wearing badly at one time was a slight against the Nittos.

go with michelen pilots quietest around and check the UTQG ratings, higher the wear number slower the wear, i believe the pilots have around 400 most high performance tires r around 150 to 300 at an average, potenza's i belive are 150 or 250

Thanks for all the replies folks but believe I am going bang for buck route. Hopefully won't bite me in the but I have been searching awhile. I will be going with the Falken 452's with 275/40/18 rear and 245/40/18 in the front. Thanks for all the help.

No getting the tires and rims from different outfits. Getting it all sent to my house and taking it to what I guess is the best that I know of intaller to set up my TPS etc. I will get it aligned there as well andget that warranty.

Another good bang for the buck is Avon Tech M550s. I replaced my originals at 15k with these for about $140ea from Tire rack. I've ridden for 10k now with no problems and seem as good as originals to me. I use my ZR daily and I ride it hard.

Ok another question for you. At first I cholse the Ruff Racing 278 in Hyper black. These are the split 5 stars. They had a problem sending them to me so now I can decide again. So what would you choose if it was your Sunset Roadster between these 4 rims

RR 278 in Gloss Black
RR 280 in Gloss Black
RR 278 in Hyper Black (Grayish)
RR 280 in Hyper Black

Need to decide by tomorrow when they call around 1 pm
