Blondaz....they are definitely twins...LOL. I see that you're in Sand Diego also. Do you know of any local clubs around that are worth going to? The 19's look awesome with the drop you've done. Did you have it done locally or did you do it yourself? I'm probably not the most mechanically inclined, so your opinion of a good local place would be greatly appreciated. From looking at your setup, it seems as though I can go with a full 1" drop all around. I guess I was taking the wussy route with only a .6" drop and you've convinced me to go otherwise. Thanks for the advice and I'll start looking for those parts and see what the ole' budget can handle.

Xonicwave -
Yeah I live and work in North County. Check the regional forums I think there is a group that gets together regularly in Mira Mesa that seems pretty active. My fiance and I (I'm a girl ) did most of the work on my Z ourselves, and the only thing we didn't do is the springs. I ordered them online and had them installed at The Wheelstore in Oceanside based on a recommendation. They did a great job at a reasonable price and included alignment with a follow up alignment if needed.

Here's mine with an eibach pro-kit. The ride is still smooth, just not as smooth as stock, but nothing to complain about. I didn't feel much of a difference other than the improved handling.

I dropped mine on just Hotchkis springs and the ride is actually softer than stock. I honestly prefer the feel as its more comfortable and looks more aggressive. Whether or not there is a 'performance' increase though, I have no idea.

I went with the Nismo Suspension kit, which dropped it 0.8"

The ride is a tad stiffer then stock, but not much, the improvement in handling is great...

Thinking about going with the Nismo suspension also. Just a little concerned that the drop may be too little to "close the gap". Otherwise, sounds like a great set-up.

If you look at my pictures closely there not much of a gap... Little gap but it keeps it from looking like Godzilla stepped on your car

hey visionboy:

Im thinking about getting Htechs for my Zr can you tell me a little more about the ride quality and height of the htechs.

from my understand any springs we get for our roadsters they will drop a little bit more than they would have if they were on the coupes.
(I understand this is an old thread, but I thought It might need to be revived)

I dont have a ZR but I have tein s techs on my coupe and it handles way better then stock and rides decent and its a good drop for not having to buy camber kit or anything.
