anyone upgraded stereo to nav unit?
Thinking about an aftermarket nav system like the Pioneer Avic-Z2
has anyone upgraded their head unit with nav and if so can you share pics. Also has anyone integrated a backup camera.

I had the AVIC Z1 installed last year, I kept the bose amp and speakers for a while. Later I had all the Bose stuff replaced and added steering wheel controls. I've had a couple back-up cameras installed, the first one had a crappy picture, the last got water intrusion and soon failed. For a while I actually had a camera in the front too.
I put a Farenheight 7" lcd in the cubby for DVD's but I almost never use it. Last weekend I upgraded the HD maps and software in the Z1 to the same as the Z2 and did this with a 60 GIG hd so now I have 40GIG storage for cd's.
I'll take some pic's tomarrow.

Go to avic411.com and you can get all the info on avic z1 or z2 tweaks, it was pretty easy to do. No I don't have a back-up camera right now, I'm just not sure which one I want yet.
If you look at the top of the A-pillars you can see where they put the antennas for the XM and GPS. I also have the bluetooth for the phone and Ipod adapter. If I were to go back I'd forget the Ipod adapter, the interface is just too slow and cumbersome but it does work, just no video from it. The bluetooth for phone is pretty good.
