Saw Picture of the Roadster
I just got my Car and Driver and opened up to Page 27. And what do I see? The picture of the convertible. Not too bad but can't see the strut tower brace (Pity). Maybe someone with a scanner can post it soon. Sorry I don't have a scanner. :P

Quote From Car And Driver
2004 Nissan 350z convertible
Fast on the heels of the reborn Nissan Z-car is this convertible version. Nissan won't let even a year pass before removing the 350Z's top. Plans are to offer it in the U.S. sometime between February and April 2003. The 350Z convertible shares all its mechanical components with the recently introduced coupe, including the 287-hp, 3.5 liter V-6 and optional automatic or manual transmissions. The Z will have a power-operated top (just release one latch) that tucks uner a body color tonneau. No word on pricing, but figure about $35,000 to start.

BTW it was a daytona blue convertible.
Pretty nice, but no visible strut tower brace, which is quite a bummer.

ya definately a bit weird with the back being so flat and long I don't think nissan can make a good looking conv 350z without changing the back and the look of the car a little bit. I think nissan will try real hard to make a convertable look good though. this pic is photoshopped

Looks like daddy, has found a replacement for his 94' Mustang GT convertible. If this is true, I may have an easier time selling my wife on one. She doesn't want to get rid of the 'stang because in her words, 'she looks good cruising with the top down'.
On second thought, I might as well keep the 'stang and take the Z for myself

Again, this photo is not real. It is a photoshopped version created by the people at Car and Driver. Yes, it will be a drop top. No, it won't look exactly like this. It might look close, but we all know how many versions of the 350Z we saw before the final car was shown.... so keep the faith, the spyder will be great!

Saw the photochop of the Spyder; not for me. The coupe is a beautiful car, I just can't get excited about a convertible where I live, too much wind and dirt. You folks elsewhere may love it, just not as good looking as the coupe; no moonroof, t-top or heavy
stinkin' convertible!

Why doesnt the 350Z have a moon/sun roof? I love that part of my RSX. And its not like it would add that much weight, the Z is already pretty heavy.

I was playing around in maya and I think the only way the 350z can look good in a conv is if the overal length of the car becomes shorter. If there is a lot of flat at the back it won't look good.

I think the Porsche 993 convertible looks great, top up or top down. The 350z carries a lot of the same caracteristics as the 993 shape. Unfortunatly the hard toneau and power top will make it flat (i believe) as shown. Similar to the Lexus 430. I'm not sure why the trend is to completely hide the top. I think it gives the car more character when it it left out a little bit. Like the vw beetle or porsche.

the sc430 isn't flat at the back, but its almost. Also i think there is alot less trunk too. if nissan keeps the car looking exactly the same as the coupe a conv won't work, it will need to change a bit
