my only gripe, besides anything airbrushed on any car ever, is that you have those terrible stock chrome rims... they aren't even the Z rims, they are the dealer optional chrome peices of junk.

get some rims. in my opinion you do not have a show car until then, and I have no idea how you won any trophy at any car show unless it was segmented to be simply for like a 'best paintjob' or something like that where the whole car is not looked at.

get rims. (also: I like the birds on the seats... and the way they colored the interior)

I agree.. even though I don't like the rims... I don't like her car, so it fits.

We have already picked out the rims. We do rims last because most people do rims first. The rims are custom and will be a total match to the Z itself and our theme. They cost mucho pesos.

We have won many trophies some of which were for best paint. Most of which are for overall best car in the show in our class. Haven't done well at Z shows probably because of guys like you. lol

Have a fabulous day.

what custom rims are you getting? can post up an example of the face?

what sizes and offset? what size tires will you be running? what suspension?

and there is a reason people do rims/suspension first.. it wasn't arbitrarily chosen as the 'normal' way to go about modding a car.

I ...Just look at the classifieds, loads of wheels for sale...usually wrong size, wrong offsets, wrong tires, wrong judgement, by not researching enough & on & on.

Its obvious a lot of people just dont have an artistic eye here. It may not be a paint job you all like but its quite the composition. Besides the awful rims the whole car screams "the beach" and is well put together. The car really does need a nice set of rims on it...rims are the first thing on the list usually.

I dont think its that bad...it no way is it my style but the effort does deserve recognition.

not really, it's called not being able to afford them, or people that are very fickle.

almost all the rims I see (just checked) are mostly the same sizes and offsets.

What sizes and offsets are those? We haven't decided on the size yet as we have heard conflicting stories about wheel size etc. So we will be testing some rides before we buy.

We are open to suggestions as to wheel size, etc.

Considering the kind of money you've spent so far....I would highly recommend iforged wheels in California...they can give you custom offsets for your ZR.
That's exactly what I did. I have the 19" 2pc. alloy aluminum 5 open spoke wheels with a brushed aluminum finish on the spokes and with no rivets because I felt that there would be too much work involved in cleaning rivets.... and with a highly polished aluminum deep outter lip. I get compliments galore!!
Wrappped with Toyo T1-R tires which gives a very comfortable ride on 19" wheels. I'm very satisifed....BTW I researched over 3 years on & off before I bought the wheels. Every mod I buy is for cash (w/research) and that is just another reason why I left buying wheels way down on my mod priorty list.

If you do not want to go the custom route on offsets. I would recommend for 19" wheels...+15 to +20 offsets on the front & +20 to +25 offsets on the rear. There you go, for saving you some time!! Good Luck!

Nice looking wheels. I'll bet you get lots of compliments on them.

Thanks for the advice and support.

I just couldn't find the right wing that I was looking for until I came across the one I have.......& I love it! For my taste, I wanted a wing that looks like a wing if you know what I mean. It sets perfectly on the horzional line of the trunk. I did have to take it to the pros because the fitment was not perfect at the base pedestals, I guess it being a replica and usually I don't like to buy replica's. The wing is a Toyota Celica replica from Smartview, very cheap but it turn out very costly at the end result.
I think it lines up perfectly & looks great on the roadster but it's too short in length for the coupe, but that's my opinion.

I'm a guy, so I'm not really feeling the pick seats, but the sunset/hawaiian theme is very nice. The graphics on the side of the car is beautiful, great job on that.

Great paint job. It doesn't look right on a Z, but whatever floats your boat I guess. Definitely recommend getting rims and BBK's to replace those painted stockies!
