On the CON side I would say; be sure you have access to another car if you want to move bigger items, and don't buy this car if you drive a lot of long trips (i.e. 3+ hours), it is loud even with the top up (but this is an issue with all soft top roadsters.

this is the truth

I had an 05 6MT Base Coupe (Silverstone). I traded it in for an 06 5AT Touring Roadster (Daytona blue). I absolutely love the roadster. The cargo space has been a pain a few times, but I just bought a 3rd card (Altima) to make up for it (the wife has an Armada, but she needs it at home). The best thing about Arizona, hands down...convertible weather ALL year round. We get a few rain storms and dust storms, but about 340 days/yr I can and DO drive with the top down.

+1 on the heater vents comment.

I love just cruising around with the top down. It will melt away your worries!

I'm jealous... we have roughly 3 months of nice weather up-north...
but I can't wait to drive the top down. For that short period of time, I'm positive that all the other drivers ARE jealous

I had both cars at the same time for a while... I kept the roadster and sold the coupe... that says all.

Are you exagerating....3 months? We get at least 7-8 months (I actually had the top down yesterday it was 13 degrees out.......global warming??).

I turn the heat on, put a jacket on, and still feel freezing cold when it hits like 40-50 here! I still can't seem to keep the top up, though. Thank God the Z has great heat and heated seats!

I can't even imagine the top down when it's 13 degrees. In fact, I can't even imagine leaving the house if it's 13 degrees. Yikes!

I would love to have a roadster, couldn't do with the limited trunk space, but if I test drove one, i probably would have gotten it. *sigh* seeing all those pictures makes me want one so bad....I guess when I'm older and can afford to have other cars i'll have a convert.

I got my ZR 2 weeks ago, it's now Jan in NJ and I still found a few days to put the top down. Silver Alloy, grey leather, and a grey top... I love it...

I can't wait for warm...

Awesome! Congrats and welcome.

I'm sure you will have many perfect convertible days. I've been caught with the top down in a dust storm and rain a few times, but the top goes up amazingly fast. I just pull off the freeway, stop at the intersection, put the top back up, drive back onto the freeway. I think it takes about 12 seconds to go all the way up.

Have fun.

Looking to go the convertible way myself (Totaled the Z track some time ago...).

Now comparing the ZR, Z4, S2000, Boxter...

I have no regrets. I switched from a touring coupe to a touring roadster and loved it! I can only drive my car in the summer so why not have a convertible.
gl with your purchase

remember boys, you're not supposed to operating the top under those cold conditions, its bad for the material and will cause premature wear and tear.

if you're not sure, go test drive the car around twice, one with top up, once with it down. If you dont fall in love with it immediately with the top down, then stick with a coupe.

BTW, which rims are those? They look like the rims that are on the GT Coupe?
