Well I had an 08 PPW base, but was ran off the road the 3rd day I had it and now I'm looking at new Z's, I've always had mixed feelings about verts/roadsters. Cant decide if I like them or not
But my local dealer has a new 07 PPW Grant Touring marked down from 41 to 34k
I love the interior on it, the orange seats and mesh center are so sweet. Wondering if any of you coupe to roadster guys are regretting it?
What are the pros and cons

I have a ZR now, and am definitely in the market for a coupe now... I guess it may be that mine is automatic, but if you love the convertible and it's a manual, then go for it.
Pros: Covt, Powerful 2 Seater Covt. (comparable to Z4, Audi, S2K, etc.)
Cons: Not as many options for modding exterior, limited trunk space (Less then 1/2 of the coupe), weight of a covt top

For me the biggest PRO is the driving experience with the top down. The exhaust note is awesome, the price is a bargain compared to a boxster/TT etc, and overall it is a well balanced car (i.e. its not too extreme in any category, it doesn't have any major shortfalls in any category).
On the CON side I would say; be sure you have access to another car if you want to move bigger items, and don't buy this car if you drive a lot of long trips (i.e. 3+ hours), it is loud even with the top up (but this is an issue with all soft top roadsters.

No regrets here.
Pros: Driving with top down(my 1st vert) is the bomb. Listening to the exhaust note is sweet.
Cons: Visibility to pass side limited but i've read here it's not much better in the coupe. Some road noise of course but not enough to cause regret.
Overall, I'd get another roadster.
PPW with orange seats sounds nice.

Did you say the Roadster you're looking at is PPW with the orange interior? Now that's a combination I've never heard of before! I'd like to see pictures of that!
For me I love dropping the top and taking it up through the gears and listen to the exhaust note. Most of the time I don't even bother turning the stereo on.
My only caution is to wear a hat. Sun burned scalps are really painful.

I always wanted a Z, and I knew I would regret not getting the Roadster had I bought the coupe. I didn't even test drive a coupe. I have no regrets. Road noise for top down is an even trade off. I love it. And do beware of the sunburn warning. BTW, top down yesterday. Not too often you get those days around here in December.

Man I miss driving the ZR. It's hibernating now for the winter. I had to peel back the car cover and was dreaming about warm weather yesterday.
I was visiting the DC area last week and saw a couple of ZRs being driven with their top up. With temperatures in the low 50s, my top definitely would be down. That's why we have the heater vents in our cars!!!!
Definitely get the ZR. You definitely won't regret it.
