My roadster seats were stolen. I was wondering if there is a way to just get aftermarket seats in place of the stock ones. I want to make sure the convertible top still works with the new seats..if anybody has experience in this, please let me know!
thanks

This isn't a definitive answer, but I don't see how the roadster seats are any different than the coupe seats and they change theirs all the time.
The tilt forward feature on the passenger side is more of a gimmick than serving any functional purpose.

I never even owned a coupe. All it took was a test drive. I test drove the roadster first, then a coupe. After the TD of the coupe, I went right back to TD the roadster again, and bought the roadster!

the short answer is that you need to create a circuit like they make for the airbag. this will provide a false positive to the safety relay that the seat has been leaned forward. I think that thread posted the proper wiring diagram. If not I am sure a qualified Nissan mechanic would be able to do it for you.
Sorry to hear your seats were stolen. Did they slash the top, or were the seats out of the car to start?
personaly I LOVE my Cobra seats, but they are a bit pricey.
Good luck with your choices.

I was just thinking, Man I wish I had gotten a 350ZR instead of the coupe and then I started hearing all these horror stories, signs of a popular vehicle.
The entire Car, Seats and 3rd party GPS units, shifting *****, stero units or ***** stolen because it's open top. Being Cool can put you in a bind, because you are not covered top down. And thats when the Roadster the Coolest.
The Coupe looking better and better, not asking for trouble wise. Of course the Coupes are stolen also but they have to break in.

And who actually figured out the "open loop feedback" problem and got your top working?!?!?!

Thanks for the save bro. ;-)
If you leave the top down in the mall parking lot then I see your point. But otherwise....it takes the same amount of effort to break into the coupe or the ZR. If you slice the top, its a hell of a trapeze act to reach in and unlock the doors with the bows on top.
