Default Dropped car off for Recall

I just dropped off my 04 ZR at the dealership this morning. I guess their was a fuel hose or line recall on it? They said it should take around 4 hours or so because they have to drop the suspension.

I told them I needed a ride to work and I guess they had all the loaners out. The guy said we could just take my car. I didn't want him to drive it back but I didn't really have a choice. He seemed like a nice enough guy and said he was too old to drive the car all crazy. That made me feel a little better lol.

Hopefully everything goes well just hate having the car in the shop. Have you guys with the 04's already had this done or does this include all the earlier models too?

I talked to my dealer and they said the lady who had the car before me even bought the extra service agreement with the car. They said the car was never in for anything other than fluid changes. I wonder why this was never done before. They found it wasn't done when they checked the rest of the stuff with the VIN.

It might not hurt to get it looked into. The bad part is that it takes a little time. As long as they don't mess anything up I will be okay.

I just got the car back at lunch. I guess it was pretty painless. They said it was a good thing I had it done because the hose was splitting. They said they don't know why it wasn't done before.

Oh well at least I got it back and everything looks normal on the car

Yeah this was a voluntary service recall back from 2005 I think. I had mine done and it took about 4 hours.

I never received a noticed for my 2004 Roadster... I even went into a dealership and they looked up the VIN and said my car wasnt on the list... Guess mine was one of the few that was made in a factory using a different gas hose

Kind of weird since my brother bought his Roadster a month earlier at the same dealership and he had to get the recall done on his car....
