Like you stated your Z is a street Z. Get what you like not what someone else tells you to get. If you are interested in 20's get to a Z meet and look at the cars with 18-20's and see which one grabs you the most visually. The difference in performance between 19's and 20's aint gonna be hugely obvious on the street. I have 20's on my Z and have NEVER had trouble keeping up with my fellow club members sonme of whom are on smaller rims. Be it turns or straights. Tracking is a different story and 18's trump 19's as Ive heard. 19's or 20's come down to personal choice and mission of your Z. Good luck with your decission. I love how the Z looks with either 19' or 20's as long as you give them proper width.

20's fill up the wells nicely. Get a agressive offset and it will look nice. I thought 20's were a bit much on my car but after I got my kit done it was a match made in heaven.

I have Axis Shine 20x10 275/30/20 on the rear and 19 x8.5 245/35/19 on the front. The only thing I would have done different would be 285's on the rear.

If you're into the looks, sure. If you're into performance, then a big no.

20's on a Z look great when executed properly....Like here, one of the cleanest DB"s on the site, with 20's

i guess i don't have to worry about it for the time being. I decided to buy some 06+ rims and i'm going to rock those in black for a while. I don't know why, but i'm really diggin the look of these painted.

You asked for an opinion so I'll give mine. The Z is a sports car. Therefore, it's not the kind of car (IMHO) where a wheel mod should be to ADD weight. Air weighs less than metal as does rubber.

But....if you're looking to turn it into a pimpmobile, get 20s (in chrome).

If you're looking to shave off a bit of weight, go with gram lights or a similar light wheel in a smaller size.

The wheel has little to do with "filling the wheel well".

Look at the diagram of a cross section of a wheel and tire. The rim diameter changes with a 17" an 18" a 19" and a 20" and so on. However, the overall diameter (the tire AND wheel) don't change.

What changes is the "section height" of the tire. As you increase the rim diameter, you decrease the section height of the tire. The overall diameter stays the same.

But it appears to fill the wheel well because it's all wheel and no tire. All tire and less wheel fill it equally .
