Default Issue connecting: Top, seats, electrical...

I'm swapping out my seats. either some sparco torino 2's or bride buckets. Irrelevant. What I need to know is if disconnecting the passenger seat is going to cause some disarray when I'm putting the top up/down and it doesn't detect a movement of the passenger seat.

Secondly, I want to know if any of you have disengaged the brake safety for putting the top up and down.

Thanks.

On your second point, disengaging the brake safety is only part of the solution (if you want to drop the top while moving). There is also a speed sensor. Someone was looking into defeating this a few years ago but I don't think it went anywhere. Take a look at the shop manual and you will get a sense of how difficult the project is.

I don't need it when I'm moving. It would just be more convenient to not have to be seated and pressing the brake just to raise and lower the top. But thank you. I will look into it more.
