Default 350Z top

i'd like to say that i am new to the site..
And i was working on the Z this night, and i can't get the top to finish going up. What i mean is that it will retract, and open.. but when the convertable cover closes, the rear part of the top with the window, won't go down to latch. So i was wondering if i could fix it, or do i have to take it in.. is there a manual lever to put it up?

Default Consult w/ your owner's manual.

Not sure what year you have, but according to my '08 manual, the top can be indeed raised manually, (but not lowered). Consult the owner's manual. Is it terribly cold there or is your battery low? These may be causes. It goes w/o saying that the top should be open and lowered w/ the engine running. Once you get the top up, go see the dealer if it is indeed malfunctioning.
