Default need help with intake not working properly

just put in regular intake but whenever i rev over 4 or 5 the rev meter drops down to zero after i let go of gas and car stalls out
but i took it out and replaced it with original air filter in and it works fine with it but why does that happen with the intake installed ?????????????????

Did you reset the ECU after installation? Reconnect the MAF sensor?

90 percent certain you messed with the MAF sensor. You did disconnect the battery before messing with the sensor correct?
