Default New ZR!

Hi!

I just purchased my first Z on Saturday! I got the roadster and I am trying to figure out what the top is made of, is it vinyl or is it cloth? There seems to be alot of discussion around this topic and I dont want to hose up my new car the first week!

I want to make sure that I am taking proper care of my Z, so any help on this would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Here are a couple of pics

What do yall use to condition and treat your tops? I dont want mine to get dried or cracked ect. I know it was on the dealers lot for awhile before I bought it so I think I need to get it conditioned pretty quickly. (Got to love the deals on "left overs" when the new unproven model comes out )

Congratz on the purchase. Great color!!

The material is vinyl coated. Two popular products are Ragg Topp and 303 Aerospace. I've used both and like them. The 303 is much easier to buy and cheaper. I bought mine in the boating supplies department of Cabela's. I believe Ragg Topp is available only on the internet.

Enjoy the ride.

Enjoy...

I bought the 303 convertible care kit - or whatever it's called. Came with a bottle of cleaner and a bottle of protector. Wait for the warm weather - easier/quicker to apply. Try www.303products.com.

By the way - when are we getting some of that warmer weather in DFW area?? Where are you located?

Yeah - 70's and low 80's work - and I know we need the rain - but why oh why does it seem to rain every weekend! Driving me nuts.

I go the other way - Southlake to Irving and back every day. Enjoy the ZR - maybe I'll see you on 114 one day

Custom paint? Here's an idea to consider. We had the hoops and the plastic section the covers the speakers and the compartments painted body-color. It's subtle, but oh-so-much-better (IMO) than the factory non-matching black.

OK so I dont have that Z anymore.... The dealership that sold it to me tried to jack me on it a couple of days after I bought it Called me back and said opps we need another 4K cash to get the deal done (Funnily enough the same amount of the discount they gave me after rebates and whatnot since it was an 08). Told them to stick it, took it back, and last night bought an 09 roadster for even less than I was going to pay for the 08! From a different dealership I will be posting pics of the new ride tonight!
