Default New Owner with audio issue

I just bought a used 2004 350Z roadster about a month ago. During the test drive the audio was working perfectly. Not the reality. While driving the subwoofer will cut in and out at random times. Very frustrating. I've ruled out loose wires after checking the sub, head unit and amp next to the sub. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a reasonable fix? Id like to keep the Bose system if possible. Thanks.

Troubleshooting can be a headache.

Head unit
woofer amplifier
woofer

Somewhere along the line there is no signal. The faulty unit is the unit "before" no signal.

My friend, that is a known issue. I am sorry to inform you that is the Head unit.

Sometimes the front left will go as well. There is nothing loose. The Bose head unit has that issue. If you tap the head unit on the side panel you will see that the sound will come back...

I had the same issue. I changed head units and after a while the same thing...

Oh well, I dont drive the car much so i learned to live with it until I decide to install all the stereo equipment I have...

Default Crap

And that would be my worst case scenario. Thanks for making my day just a little bit better. Frick! Any ideas on how much that Bose head unit would cost to replace? (no warranty) And would the new one have just as much of a chance to end up doing the same thing?
