I'll be one of the first customers! This is long over-due!! If you remove all the soft top mechanics... it should ( the roadster ) be lighter than the coupe. A carbon fiber option would be very nice too. I'll called them and it's going to be around 2k.

latest email response I have recieved...

Dan,

We appreciate the interest and this project will not be dropped. We both agree that there is a great demand for the Z hardtop. We have a ZR in house and the prototype does exist but not ready for pictures. We are delayed for now because we need a Z coupe for a few days to take some templates of the roof line near the windshield. we haven't been able to locate one. It would make this project go quickly and to market soon.

We are located in SW PA. near Pittsburgh. Zipcode 15024. We would be willing to offer an agreeable reimbursement with a hardtop or cash payment for the use of a Z coupe. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Gary

How long do they need to borrow the coupe for? We'd need that info to ask for help from our Z Coupe buddies. Then we can all post around on other sites (KiJiJi, Craigslist, Z-Forums) and try and find someone.

I'm buying my ZR in a month and I'd LOVE for this to be on the car this year also!

Your suggestion has merit. Why don't you follow through and provide the service?
