Are roadster's mainly known for appearance? Is upgrading on performance rare for roadster owner's. I bought test pipes and looking to buy 5/16 spacer for my blue roadster.

the roadster is acutally faster than the coupe. 0-60 is just under 4 seconds. If you put test pipes on it will actually reduce hp instead of gain. Its a common misconception that air will flow more freely through an empty pipe and thus generate more hp than a catalytic converter. The stock cat gives you a lot of whp, somewhere around 35 whp, so replacing them with test pipes will drop that down to like 5whp. As for the spacer, you acutally want to decrease the volume in the manifold so that it can create more pressure resulting in greater boost.
The best mod you can do to the car is putting on two throttle body spacers which will give you at least 25 whp.

OMG!
JWR777: Welcome to My350Z. You might want to think that post over for a few minutes.
Z vs. ZR: Same engine, suspension, drivetrain, exhaust .... the only differences are obvious. Yes, the convertible is about 200 pounds heavier in curb weight with top, motors and differences in chassis and bodywork. There are enough modifications out there to make any roadster fast enough for your liking. (Twin turbos, exhaust, nitrous, etc.) Your planned mods will be fine.
