Roadster Trunk Space
I can fit two 22" carry on bags, side by side plus a couple of small bags on either side plus a thin garment bag on top of all that. You still have the small cubby hole behind the passenger seat plus extra space behind the driver's seat if you take off the cover and remove the support bar. If the wife goes along we move the passenger seat up a little and put a couple of small duffles behind her seat. On golf days I can also fit two small golf stand bags that I bought at Dick's Sporting goods. And if you don't mind leaving the top up you have quite a bit of room under the tonneau as previously mentioned. I have even carried an extra set of golf clubs under the tonneau (sans bag) with the top down and borrowed a bag at the course (every course has some). Better yet I can carry two full cases of wine, sometimes I have to lay one on the side if the bottles are tall, no problem. How much more do you need to carry?
No, my 2004 model only has a single light to indicate if either of the doors are ajar. However, the rear view mirror has a very wide angle perspective. This will easily show the protruding arms and legs of escaping hostages should the inept kidnappers fail to properly secure the trunk lid!
removing the spare gives you a bit more room. daily driving with AAA isnt a problem (without the spare).
IMO its not too bad, you can live with it, but is pretty sh** compared to most cars. You will start to use the empty passenger seat as a place to put all sorts of stuff. And when you put the top down you can cary 2x4's and the sort (heh... yes you do get weird looks).
