I picked up my Roadster this morning!!!
Yes! Yes! Yes! It's about freakin time.
I just took delivery of my Roadster from Bob Sharp Nissan in Connecticut. Since there are a bunch of questions people normally ask here are the facts.
2004 SilverStone touring roadster w/o nav
I got on the waiting list in March.
I was going to order custom, but then they located this one
I paid MSRP (about $37K)
It came in by truck Monday . They called me ASAP as I requested.
Monday night at 6pm it was sitting there still in the plastic when I checked. This morning I was there while they were still removing the plastic IT was delivered with 10 miles on the odomoter and a full tank of 93 octane.
Bob Sharp Nissan really treated me right. They promised me a car at MSRP in the beginning of the year and stuck to it. No add ons, no tricks. No hidden charges. The car was spotless, swirless, and clean. They did try a hard sell on a $2,000 extended warranty, but I can't blame em for trying.
I must admit it was sort of funny when they tried to tell me about the car. From reading these forums and the service manual I know many things they didn't. But they meant well and they were cool about it.
The Sales Manager did probe to see if I wanted to pursue a career in sales. He caught me talking to a customer about the Z and apparently it sounded like a sales pitch.
I told him "no charge".
The down side? As soon as I got on the road to go to work it started to rain. Just as I got to work it stopped. So much for my spotless Z.
Now I just have to keep my cool until the breakin is over.
I finally own a Z. Of course, that just means I need to start spending on mods now....

Well, so far for mods and accessories I got:
Dweeb quick shifter (not installed yet)
Seat back organizer
locking lugs
exhaust tip whistles.
I am also buying a set of G35 7-spoke 18-inch rims to upgrade the stock 17 inch rims.
So far I haven't seen any performance mods I need. I want to get to know the car and get a feel for it before I start messing with it in any serious way. I am also sort of waiting to see if any of the ECU research going on will bear fruit.
(just kidding about the whistles. Whooowhoooooo)

Congrats on your new Z, especially at MSRP. I have seen a few folks paying way over MSRP for these beauties.
$37K for a Touring is awesome. They want $46K for an Enthusiast at my dealer, lol. This world never cease to amaze me.
Anyone, congrats and enjoy your roadster.
One last thing, order some Zaino!

I have to say the paint seems to be pretty good on this car. There is hardly any orange peel. It is better than most cars although it is not exactly a well rubbed BMW paint job.

Ok, you caught me. I also have over $100 worth of Zaino in the basement including the various protectants and a couple of clay bars. I am not sure if I will have good neough weather to get to zaino before spring since I don't have a garage. But I am ready in case it happens.

Guilty as charged (hanging head in shame).
But hey, at least I put the Z on the priority list BEFORE the house improvements.
Give me credit for that at least.
I used to live in PA. I don't envy your long Northeastern winter without a garage. That Zaino will be a good thing if you can get it on before too much snow falls. Pray for an easy winter,eh? When I lived in PA I rented a garage for my new sports car. It was money well spent
Good Luck and ENJOY!!!
