Default i need help with my rims...

right now i have the stock chrome rims on my roadster, i want to paint them black how do you guys think it will look? i appreciate the help.

im thinking im gonna tint my windows dark dark black, tint the tail lights and the black rims instead of the chrome, opinions??? thanks for the help guys

if I recall right those wheels were already really structrually weak too, so powdercoating is most likely out of the option.

I would save for a set of wheels.

Welcome. Figure $800 to paint the wheels. Remove chrome. Prep. Primer. Paint. Clear coat. Labor intensive and costly.

Dont do it - by the time you get done - its going to be just as much to get a new set. Plus chrome OEMs seem to have "cracking" issues.

I use mine for drift and have had to get rid of one cause of the cracks on the spokes

Makes no sense spending $ that way. Sell them then put that money towards a budget. Painted wheels look like a** after a few months of paint chipping anyway.

thanks but yeah my friends got a shop i just came from there now, where gonna work on it on saturday he says its gonna be easy ill post up the pics when im done so you guys can see how it came out wish me luck!

those wheels look terrible changin the color is not gonna fix anything... get new wheels asap

Don't paint those, that will look horrible. Just buy new wheels.

Maybe you can PM him and ask him how he did it. I heard it is really hard to paint chrome wheels and have the paint stay on. I would try and sell the stock wheels and get wheels that have a better size and offset.
