Default top design?

I got a really close look at the roadster when I took my coupe in for service the other day and something bothers me about the way Nissan designed the top. At the rear base of the top the cars body design seems to invite water in that direction. The body is sloped towards the top. I wonder if the look of the top would have been improved if it had come back to meet this leading edge.Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Just an observation.

i know it looks that way, but it doesnt leak. the water runs around the top and down the drain on the sides. also, if you look from inside the car you can see some light shining through the back(if the sun is behind you). that is the light coming through the clear protective strip which is taped to the body of the car. i thought it was that the top wasnt sealing well before. someone mentioned it was the strip... then a couple days ago i re-read the label that came with how to operate the top and there was a note stating about the light coming through is normal.

You're in the right spot for a drop top! Thanks for the response. I was just trying to figure out why it was designed that way but hey, I'm not a car designer.
