best sway bars for roadster
Whether a manufacturer is going to go through the trouble is a different story, but the difference might be something like 3/4" is optimal for coupe but a 7/8" is better for a convertible, or vice versa. (dont take this to heart, it is only a hypothetical)
This also does not include personal preference, purpose of vehicle (street, strip, auto-x, etc), springs, wheels, tires or other variables.
OP - I would at least research the suspension section to get a general feel, and maybe purchase a sway that is adjustable (I think Hotchkis is) to fine tune it from there.
I would absolutely think that swaybars between a coupe and convertible could and should be different. The geometry and setup may be the same, but the weight, center of gravity and handling characteristics are all going to be different between vehicles. Even just comparing between stock models.

Most aftermarket sway bars are larger in diameter than the stock. (Hence the reason for changing.) The fit is the same between the coupe and roadster when you replace the sway bushings and mounts. I don't know if the OEM bars were different between coupe and roadster. My guess is that they were the same bars.
