Default 21 mpg normal? NA and light footed

I am getting consistently 20-21 mpg on my 350zr. I drive about 50/50 cty/hwy.

I baby my Z. I shift most of the time from 3-4k rpm. I have 33k miles on my car. Stock everything. I am running 19's. Is this normal for most of you?

Sounds about right. You could be shifting a little lower though. The car has enough torque around 2.5k-3k to keep it smooth and reap greater MPG as well.

I would say that is about normal. I'm currently getting about 24 50/50 city and highway. I'm on stock 18's with mods below in sig.

I get 21-22 consistently, drive easy 90%
of
the time. All our gas has 10% ethanol which lowers it a bit.

What year ZR?

My wife's 04' ZR averages 21-25mpg highway/city.
My wife's 07' ZR averages 16-18mpg highway/city.

The difference was noticeable on the first tank, and has been consistently 3-9mpg worse than her 04'. Both with the same wheels, tires, and mods.

It's normal. If the wheel/tire combo are heavier/wider than stock then you would be losing mpg. You can also shift sooner as previously mentioned.

I have an 04. By the looks of it, I think im doing alright with 21mpg. I am going to try shifting around 2500-3000 rpm to see if it makes a difference.

Would adding the Motodyne 5/16 plenum lose MPG as well? With same driving style.

The plenum upgrade is a good mod to do. You should'nt lose any mpg. Just keep babying it like you've been doing at low rpm's and you should be fine.

I got the 5/16 spacer with the MREV 2 and feel a substantial difference in the mid range. Sounds pretty good too paired up with my intake and exhaust.
