21 mpg normal? NA and light footed

but that doesnt mean you cant try to get decent gas mileage with it. I have fun with my Z but I still manually check the mileage every tank. Anyway, 21 sounds pretty typical. If youre really light footed and shift earlier than you do (2kish), you can get 25 or more. My record for a whole tank is 25.5 MPGs with city/hwy (06 base coupe)

I have the full exhaust bolt on and get a little better than 21 mpg. How you guys soft shoe through the revs always shifting before 3k is beyond me. Albeit for a sports car we get good mpg but just can't drive her with that as the goal. On trips about 4 hrs or so one way I can get 30 mpg as long as stay below 80 and speeds are constant.
Drive the car man like its intended. You'll forget mpg.

wow, how are most of you getting between 20-24??? I do mainly city driving, and occasional highway and I'm averaging about 17.9-18.5. I've been shifting at 3k consistently and still been getting screwed in mileage. its annoying lol

How are you calculating it? We drove our 04' ZR for 5 years, always getting at least 20mpg and usually 24-26mpg average with commuting and city driving. The HR we now have gets clearly worse gas mileage.

hey guys, quick question. When you go to fill up your gas from completely empty, about how many gallons does it take for you to go back to full. I'm not sure if this is right, but when I get to the pump and put it in the gas tank, the pump stops at 13.5 gallons, and I was wondering if that was normal or if my sensor is off and it should be filling more gas?

I get 24-ish consistently in my 04 ZR manual.
In city driving I don't see a need to shift any higher than 2,000 RPM unless you are passing somebody.
Shifting at 3-4,000 RPM is not "light footed"
