Default Roadster Car cover question

When I recieve my Roadster I want to keep it covered w/ a car cover when I am not driving it. I am concerned though because I asked a paint tech at a body shop that I frequently use. I had asked about the long term affects of a car cover on the paint ---when it gets wet. I work diiferent hours sometimes and every time it rains I don't want to worry about my paint "clouding" the next day or so or even a week if I go away because I left a car cover on. I plan to purchase a OEM breathable one, but I was told that the paint will cloud if I donot remove the cover after it rains, any expiereine w/ this would be appreciated. I ahve owned sports cars previously but they have been daily drivers!

Default OEM Cover

The OEM cover is made from the company Weather Shield (Or somrething like that). They are the leader in car covers. www.griottsgarage.com sells Weather Shield for other vehicles and has some good information on car covers. Griotts Garage main clientel is Ferrari owners - If its good enough for a Ferrari, its good enough for my car.

I personally own the Roadster OEM cover (looked at others and liked the OEM the best - bought from www.courtesy.com - great place for parts). I would not worry about letting rain and clouding the paint. The cover does not fit on the car like a glove or like the front bra. So it does not hold the moisture on the paint like you would think.

Always be very careful though to only put a cover on a CLEAN car. If you have sand/dirt on your car the wind can blow the cover which will rub your car - If the rubbing has sand/dirt involed it will sratch the paint.

By the way the OEM cover folds up smaller than other covers and is machine washable.

Any other questions please feel free to PM me.

It's probably a safe bet that Ferrari's are not kept outside when they're covered though...
