Default Luggage

We are heading to the airport tomorrow morning but have some large luggage to go in the trunk of my Z roadster.

Has anyone else tried tying down the trunk lid to accommodate larger items with any success?

Be careful, you risk carbon monoxide poisoning with the hatch open while driving. The open compartment act as a vacuum and will draw the exhaust into the car.

I drove with a wheel in the trunk that way, out of necessity. It was ugly, but got the job done.

Remove the spare. Someone a long time ago told me that the Z was designed to carry two full golfbags in this space. My spare has been long gone and I can cram all kinds of bags and tools in there.

Think I've got it sorted.

The luggage is too big without the spare tire so no point removing that.

Grabbed some rope I had and a mini carabiner like this one

Attached the carabiner to the metal loop on the trunk lid then tied the other end to the small tow point underneath the bumper. Bit of cloth wrapped around the wrope to stop scratches and voila!!

Should work fine as long as I don't gas us both to death

If you open the hatch cover (for the convertible top storage compartment) you can stow quite a bit of luggage in there (when the top is up). I hide stuff in there that I don’t want my boyfriend to know about!

haha I used that compartment when I went to a couple of music festivals to store all my booze. Went through the checkpoints with no trouble at all!!

We don't lose trunk space with the vert, we just get a handy secondary trunk which is impossible to break into without starting the car. Win win.
