Exclamation [HELP] Picking out new rims

I wanted to get new Rims for my 2006 Roadster, it got all scratched up, and I was wondering, the tire that fits the 18 in stock rims will that fit on any other 18 in rims?
I see other measurements for rims, but I don't know how to make use of it. Can someone help me? Sorry if the question seems dumb.

Edit: Don't know if this really matters, but I don't have stock tires.

Stock size tires for 18" rims are:
225/45/18 front
245/45/18 rear

It depends on how wide the wheels are. If you have wider wheels, you'll need wider tires. In the simplest terms, the first number of the sequence (245/45/18 would be 245) is basically the width (in millimeters) of the tire. The larger this first number, the wider the tire will be. Your wheels are most likely 8 inches wide up front and 8.5 in rear. If you were to get wider wheels in the rear, say 9.5, you'd need wider tires; perhaps 275.

Your ability to use the tires off your stock wheels depends entirely on the specifications of the new wheels you are speculating about purchasing. Width and the inch of the tire/wheel is what really matter. The sidewall size is based on preference and specific application.

OP - What are your tire sizes? 225/245?
