Default seats problem..plz help!

I have a 2004 roadster
i traded my two seats (cause i wanted them orange)
with a hardtop model.....

driver seat is ok!!
guess what?
passenger...wrong!!

mine was full electric and not this one....only back and forward...didnt mine
but then...

roof wont move anymore!!!!! grrr
i know my seat was moving by itself when i was activating the roof to fold down or up....probably a computer sequence!

now since i dont have that seat and the connector wont fit either....

is there a way to buypass that sequence so that vmy roof can open and close??????

dont tell me anyone never changed their seats for other models in a roadster..

please help

thanks!

Looking at the factory service manual, I'd say you're in trouble. The passenger seat has a control unit on the bottom, and it seems rather important. The power roof switch connects directly to it. The passenger seat module also talks to the can-bus system, the bcm, and the power top module. Even the window down request signal is routed through it. You need to get another set of roadster seats.

I'd say you need to trade your coupe seats for roadster seats. Hope your original's didn't have airbags...
