Hey I have an 04 roadster and my third brake light stopped working. Is their a specific fuse or do I have to replace the whole assembly since its LEDs?

 

My center brake light went out also, the bulb unit went bad. In stead of buying a new unit, I picked up a set of exterior red LEDs at a local parts store, removed the center light unit, took my time and ooenednit, then wierd the new string of LEDs in it, th3n glued it back together. It was pretty easy and looks like stock.

 

I know thi thread is pretty old but a reply would be awesome. Can you please give more detail about fixing this 3rd light? I can't get my car inspected/registered without it working and I don't have over $300 stupid dollars to buy a new one. Thanks! (Hopefully lol)
