Need Help with mods for new 2004 Roadster..
Hey guys I just moved over here from E46fanatics.com which was a BMW site..... I had my time with BMWs and it is now time for something different. I have seen some sick as **** for the Z cars and I have no idea where to start. I know nothing about tuning a Japanese car I have been into ther German scene for a time now. My car is going to be here for March delivery which is what I wanted. This NY winter weather will not be seeing my car.
Right now my goal is to purchase most of mods so when I get the car they can go right on. As of right now I am planning on ordering Pikes Peak White Roadster with black top custom Dark Tan and Black leather seats and doors automatic and pretty much whatever else comes with the touring package. What I would like to do is get the best products performance wise that is going to give me the best for my dollar..
-intake ( until I figure out a supercharger for an auto)
-exhaust
-headers
-cats
-suspension
-sways
-body kit ( something conservative, I am not down with the aggressive look I want something clean but original)
If you guys can give me some insight of where to look and where to buy MODS I would really appreciate it.. Thanks!!

Personally I look in the classified section for most of my mods. They are just as good as "new" and a fraction of the cost. If you are a die hard - must have new stuff person check the vendor classifed section. I've ordered some stuff from Courtesy Nissan & was very pleased their service. Good Luck
Buff's right, Courtesy has excellent customer service, and has always treated me right, but they are sometimes pricier than the next guy. with or without supercharger, go with a Crawford Plenum (I also went with the replacement crossbar, as your stock one won't work after adding the new plenum), it's going to open up alot more air to the front cylinders. Get it directly from Doug at crawfordzcar.com & you'll get the best deal.
I'm on my 2nd different CAI setup. Had the JWT Pop charger, it was a great low-cost mod, but have recently installed the K&M Typhoon System and it's a lot better.
Mike (TrackZ) has the following on a coupe:
- Crawford plenum, Crawford headers, and Crawford high flow cats
- JWT cams & (my old) pop charger
- Borla true dual exhaust
- 4 awg grounding kit
He just dyno'd over the weekend in the 280-290 rwhp range. This was a 50+ rwhp gain over stock for about $4000.
I'm considering the Borla exhaust too, but the NISMO gives you more torque...while Borla gives you a little more hp.
By the way, I have a Touring Pikes Peak White auto ZR too. I didn't think you could get any color other than blue for the top & either frost or black for the interior?
Oh, & I highly recommend the V1 radar detector!

V-1 = Valentine One.

If you use the search function, you can find the hardwire install that some of the coupe guys came up with last year. I'm planning on installing mine before I roll my Z out on to the highways & byways.
As far as Courtesy Nissan prices, I've found that if you talk to one of the guys & tell them that you've found a better price somewhere they may be willing to match it. (Same goes for the guys at Performance Nissan) On some of the things they can't, but I'm (usually) willing to pay the "little" bit extra to have my parts comming from someplace that I trust.
