Default Picked up my new Roadster

Well I finally picked up my SS/BO roadster yesterday. 12 miles on the odometer! Pics to follow once I get it back home. I'll be taking my first road trip tomorrow night - 350 miles The Bose even sounds great.

Nice. You will LOVE it.

Now for the hard part, keeping it under 4K RPM for 1200 miles. Taking a long trip sounds like a good way to get past the break in.

Two questions:

What mods are you planning?

Where are the pictures?

Can't post any pics yet as I'm out of town and I forgot to bring my USB card reader with me
1. First mod was to the driver's seat - I placed my a$$ in it
2. I plan to modify the NAV so that it will accept input while moving.
3. My 3 cars no longer fit into my 2 car garage, so an extension to the garage, probably a carport, is high on the list
4. Handling and braking mods before go fast mods. I'd like to add lightweight 19" wheels and bigger brakes. That's a few months away though.

Question Navigation System?

Rich,

Any first impressions regarding the navigation sysytem? I am looking at a Z identical to yours, and was just wondering if the Nav system was really worth it.

Thanks in advance.

I like the Nissan NAV system. I ordered the car in October and whould not have bought the same car off the lot w/o NAV. I have been using the same system for the past 11 months on my FX. It's not perfect, but then none are. My first experience with NAV was in 1998 when I had an aftermarket CD based Alpine system. This DVD based NAV is way better, but then again it is 5 years newer. It has an excellent database, both in terms of roads covered and points of interest database. There is an easy mod to allow full input functionality while moving. It involves interrupting one wire on one connector to the NAV computer which looks like it'll be easy to get at. I've done it on my Infiniti. I just need to know which wire to interrupt. Hopefully I can get the information from the forum in the next day or two.

Thanks greatly for the info. One more question/thought: I realize it is now winter, so your top is not down, but do you think the screen will be totally washed out in the summer with the top down?

Thanks.
