Just got a Z yesterday, the back unlatches ( meaning I hear it unlatch and then I have to manually lift and let it fall so it relatches) and then nothing else happens. Before I start tearing things apart is this the symptom of the 5th Bow Motor.

I do electrical work so I checked all fuses and made sure they were good.

I suggest that you do not work on your top in cold weather.

 

These tops do NOT work in cold weather. Even in CA when its a warm 65 they lock up. These are 75+ tops.

 

Mine may be the exception then, it works fine in 40's to 50's degree weather.
