Default Trunk lid weight

Was thinking about a cf trunk lid. Does anybody know the weight to the trunk lid?

It's pretty light as-is. Little known fact - the OEM roadster trunk lid is fiberglass.

But you know, carbon fiber because racecar.

and in reality…most CF parts are 95% fiberglass anyways…

Good call. I figured OP was asking about the roadster since it's posted in the roadster subforum.

Because nobody ever starts a post in the wrong place

Thanks for the responses. Yeah I am referring to the roadster. The previous owner painted the compartment that hides the top black and I figured it would look decent with a cf trunk lid. The cf trunk lid is only listed for $400. Probably not worth saving the 10 pounds or less.

thanks guys

In that case, you should get the carbon fiber tonneau cover and matching carbon fiber trunk lid. Because you're definitely racecar at that point.
