I'm in at least my 3rd mid-life crisis! My first was a beautiful 1967 blue Bonneville / white leatherette interior , the second was a 1990 Yellow / t.top, leather, bose (the works) 300 ZX - traded it in on a 1995 Dark Green Maxima - very nice driving handling car - but not a Z - and have been sorry ever since. I'd been drooling over the 350Z for 18 months - and finally had to do it. Now have a light silver model - 6 speed ,350 was stick also-
By now you must have guessed it - I have you all beat in age - I was 37 when I bought the convertible.
Age is a state of mind - enjoy the things you want !

It was a warm and sunny day in Coronado, Ca. and I rode in my first roadster, an MG TD, I was 12. I was hooked! Later living in Virginia my closest bud had a 1964 GTO, then I had a 1969 Camaro. Then the lean years, no money for fun travel. Then a 1986 Celica GTS, assorted trucks and SUV's until a 1999 Solara, really nice car to drive but no 'fun', looking into a ragtop led me to the Z. Love that car! I'm 55, been driving since 15 (It was legal in Va then!)

52 here.
I like to (kiddingly) tell people I got the Z because of MLC. Interestingly, I didn't care for convertibles and I prefer the space in the back seat of a sedan (plus more trunk space in the sedan). But the Z Roadster looks so cool. And I liked the thought of getting a new car (Roadster just came out around August, 2003). We have no kids living at home, and it's fun to drive.
Had a G35 for a short time. After I have the Z for a while, I'll probably go back to a sedan.

38, never been married, never owned a house-- do I qualify for a mid-life crisis? Didn't even think about it when I bought the car. It is my first sports car (could not afford one before). Have a pretty new Mercury Mountaineer for when I go biking/hiking/chaufering, or for when I want to be a little more anonymous on the road.

42 years "young" goin' on 24. LOL I don't think too many youngsters can afford the roadster. 5 to 10G's higher than most coupes. Ya'll think? FLZ, Dave
