I'm usually one of the older guys at ZDAYZ and I've attended that event 6 times in a row now.
I've been lucky enough to have my car take first place in that car show 4 years in a row and then a third. I just keep adding things to it as I enjoy it and at my point in my career I can afford things I couldn't in my twenties.
If you love cars, you love cars, doesn't much matter what age you are.
I am from Ontario Canada, 53 years old , own a 350Z Roadster HR. 2007 San marino blue. Have won three 2nd place wins with this car. Have been a car nut for over 35 years, why stop now....
I am 38. This is my 2nd Z. 10 years ago, I used to own a 1985 300zx turbo. I loved that car so much. i had to sell it when i moved from chicago. at that time i was a single father of 2 boys. so, i kept the civic instead. It was still one of your typical "fast and furious" civics...lol you know with neon lights underneath.. lol Today I have a Acura TL, 84 Toyota Landcruiser, and my 2004 Roadster.
62 years young here, I own a 2004 silver roadster and loving every minute of it. I was always a mustang guy until I took a Z roadster for a test drive on a whim, have not looked back since.
I'm 57, and always a gearhead, my last two seater convertible was a 1964 Triumph Spitfire, as a 20 something, I always wanted a Datsun 240 Z and never got it. Raised a family, wife of 32 years passed away, so I bought another two seater convertible, a Harley Davidson Deluxe.
About to remarry next month, and bought my fiancée (younger than me at 53, ha ha) a 2005 350z (convertible of course) for Valentine’s Day. No mid-life crises, just at our age we will do whatever we please.
I can't drive her diamond ring, but I can drive her car.
44 now... and have had my Z for 2 years. I'm happy. And you know what? Screw those people who think it's a MLC car. I agree with a previous post... it's nice to have the disposable income to have something like this once in your life. You only get one chance at this... so why not enjoy the fruits of your labor.
47 - Now that the kids are mostly out I don't need to cart teams of girls around I figured for once it's going to be about me this time. You're only as old as you act. No more mini-vans for me. Ah the life of a chef.
Straight up best ride and handle. Gotta love the top down.
Totally different from a coup.
Not perfect, a project.
I'm 64, my first car back from the war was a 1972 240Z. I've always had a sports shiftier. Now I'm a little older, I have three, a 1991 Celica Convertible, Powder Blue, custom interior. And last but not least my 1973 Corvette T-Top, Chevy Blue. For just a driver, it's my 350Z Roadster. It rocks.....
I'm 36. Bought my '06 350Z about 3 1/2 years ago when i was 32. I'm a single guy with my Z and a Honda CBR954RR sports bike. Unless my life situation changes (wife, kids etc) then i have no intentions of driving "normal" or "practical" cars. Sports cars and bikes are my passion and i intend to keep my toys as long as I am able to.
