Default Dead Pedal loose?

Only had my roadster about 3 wks, but the Dead Pedal on my 5AT seems to be loose. When I tap the top of it, the bottom pivots out. Is this normal or is something loose? I got down in floorwell but couldn't see if its supposed to be like that. Anyone else like that?

Funny. I noticed the same thing yesterday. Everything's bolted tight, so I don't know what to make of it.

Under the foot rest plate there are 2 clips that hold the footrest on. All of the screws that you can see now just hold on the foot rest plate. Underneath the plate is the footrest and it has 2 clips. One on top and one on the bottom. Sounds like the one on top is loose. They are the kind that you turn, I think 90 degrees and they lock.
