Actually, I read a thread from Bonz who advised....
1) heat the old emblem with a hair dryer.....and I mean you have to really do this for at least 10mins or longer......
2) once the glue is soft, get a putty applicator and cover it with masking tape (so you dont scratch the paint) and gently lift up on the Nissan hamburger emblem,....
3) if its still kinda tight.....keep using the hairdryer....then try again to pry it off....you will use some muscle behind it
3) once you have it off.....wipe down the remaining glue residue...make sure you wipe and clean then underneath very good , so the new emblem wil get a good grip...
4) Once it is cleaned off, then just apply the new emblem....
5...and remember even if you do scratch the paint alittle underneath.....when you apply the new "Z" emblem it will be covered up...
Good luck and thanks to you and all for the compliments of my car.....I love PPW!!!!

Roadsters do not have the two holes in the rear like the coupes. Try taking off the Nissan emblem in the rear! It looks so much better and cleaner, plus no Nissan name. People will be saying "hey what kind of car is that!". ps..you can also use fish wire or dental floss; it will break at times but just be patient, also the dryer should be on med. temp not high.

Oh yes....forgot about the fishing line trick....I didn't use any when I replaced mine...but yes I read others that did......
About replacing my rear Nissan hamburger....was thinking about it, but I do not want another "Z" emblem in the back...already have the 350Z writing, the "Z" on my license plate frame and the "Z" stem cap logos.....perhaps leaving it blank....??? I dunno, I think I'll just leave it....only place it says Nissan is on the back and the center of the wheels and I was thinking about getting rid of those

Yesterday I did remove the rear logo and replaced the front one with the Z logo.
I think the back looks great without the logo. And the front looks better with the Z logo. Mostly, I like the fact that now most people don't have a clue what make the car is.
Note: I heated the rear Nissan hamburger with the hair dryer for only 3 or 4 minutes and then used a heavy weight fishing line. The fishing line went thru the adhesive like butter. The remaining glue just rolled off with my fingers.
I also used the fishing line on the front hamburger. Although it took a little finesse to work the fishing line under the recessed hamburger, the fishing line went under about a third of the logo and then I just lifted the line popping off the hamburger.
