Girl at work is arguing with me which car is faster. I think my Z is. Anyone have an opinion on this. I know a new Cobra would kill me.

 

If hers is stock, or yours is a 6 speed, you should win.

Won't be a major victory though.

Thats if you can drive well.

 

unless you are a really bad driver you are bound to win this one

0 - 60 on a cobra convertible is around 6.0 secs stock.

didnt some of the older cobras have over-rated HP number? That's why they stuck in a S/C in the recent years no?....

close race but the edge is on the Z
(stock to stock, both manual)

 

A stock 98 Cobra makes like 20 more hp than the Z.. given it probably weighs more, especially in a Convert., and has a 5-speed, my money is on the Z.

I think it depends on the driver. They are pretty quick, i think depending on the conditions, you should walk the mustang.

I've played with a few in my 2k2 6 speed max, (hardtop pre 2000 GT's/cobras) and I Know they pull pretty hard. I usually get slowly walked, or if the driver sucks I can get beat them. If it's automatic, no contest.

I feel the Z should win too.
