Default Perfect Detail Polish - Glass Like Finish!

Hope you guys/gals will find this information useful. I came accross this product (via a friend) called Perfect Detail Polish. After using it on my SB Z for awhile now I recently contacted the company and ordered a case of it. The polish is applied as a wet spray, just smooth it out with a microfiber cloth, then buff it with another microfiber cloth minutes later. In 45 minutes you have a well waxed car that shines like a glass mirror finish (no paste or dust residue anywhere). Plus you use this on car glass (and other materials). My previous high quality wax method used to take me 3 hours to do, and never looked as good as what this product can do.

When I called the company I talked to the owner who is a pro chemist of 23 years and makes many other great products as well. He is a real nice guy (Dean Bibler) that loved explaining about his products and how they work, and how to best apply them to a Z (talked over an hour about how his business and products developed - word of mouth - it was interesting). I bought another polish he recommended called prestige protective polish. This is great for black cars (can use on others too) as it goes on first as a base and makes the super black a shiny darker black as well as hides most swirl marks. Then after letting this finish set for 4 (or more) hours you put on perfect detail polish for a super shine. Also bought his leather cleaner (for BO seats) and formula 2 cleaner (leather, rubber, vinyl, plastics) for inside polishing. Received all this stuff yesterday and went to work on Z, I think it looks great! Will attach some pics of front and back in subsequent messages so you can judge for yourself (pictures with no sun out - it just stopped raining when they were taken today, imagine the shine with the sun out!) BTW: I am not one to recommend anything lightly, but knowing you all love your cars as much (maybe) as I do, felt I should share this information...

Netman_one,

Can this be used over a clearbra?

When you used the base, did you need to keep your Z out of the sun?

I have a SB coupe and I'd like to try it out.
Thanks for the info. Time to read the website.

I would not think a clearbra would be a problem by all it says you can use it on, but Dean Bibler (maker) would gladly answer that question if you are concerned about it. As far as the prestige polish, sun is no problem, only thing he told me is wait 4 hours before putting on perfect detail again (said car show guys are impatient and they put it on right away, which he said is still ok, but if you want to do it right...) so it sat overnight in garage, and then did so in morning. One other guy here mentioned zaino... I was about to order Zaino (after reading this site for quite some time) until I came accross this stuff. Hate to say this and tick anyone off, but I can not see how anything could work much better or any easier then this guys stuff (which is why I bought a bunch).

Should have mentioned Polish works great as a cleaner.
Can literally drywash my Z car with the perfect detail polish.
Took dried up bug stains off my 01 Pathfinder with an easy wipe.

It's so easy to wax car with the stuff that I usually do it probally 2-3 times a week, but not because it needs reapplying or needs another coat. I just like to keep it clean with that glass like look, and being black it can show dust right after you've cleaned it (jeeezzz). Note that I can just wipe car down with a microfiber cloth (not add more polish) and glass like shine is still there after many days. Have tried this polish on my bronze pathfinder and it works great on it also, and think it would be good for any color Z, not just SB. One other thing he told me... this perfect polish does not build up a film like wax, so you are not waxing prior wax, you are polishing the paint.

Like I tried to say prior, I normally would not go on about such stuff, but seems all this guys products that I have used so far, work so very well, that I thought it was worth sharing the info.

The 'Prestige Polish' product they make (mentioned prior) does help with that (great for black cars-makes super black Very Super Black), although do not expect a paint shop in a bottle. Please see company website link posted prior for product details.

Am still using this guys products with great results (I think).
Curious if any of you guys have tried his 'Perfect Detail' polish and/or his 'Prestige Polish' (more like a traditional application).

I know a lot of you guys are really into Zaino. I have not tried it, so I can not really compare the results, however it seems hard to believe a better shine could be achieved... but can not say for sure as I have no Zaino!

Guess my polish preference is for those that would rather spend that wax time driving their ZR!...
