Default 'Standard' 370z OR Nismo 370z

So, now that we have a VERY good idea of what the 'standard' Z will look like, I am having an intenal debate: Should I move on the 'standard Z' or wait for a Nismo or Track version??

I think I will wait for the official 370 unveiling and hear the specs and make my decision. Is anyone else contiplating such thoughts? What is your game plan??

of course you should wait till they officially release it. i have a large sum of money sitting for a down payment that i just got from the insuranance for totaling my 350z. i plan on getting the highest model possible, may it be a track or nismo model. if i find out they wont release the "highest model" until a later date than the initial release, then i will wait for it if i cant fight off the Z Fever

What is an “internal debate?” Does it upset your internals?

good luck buying a first year car, I wouldn't do it again.

I doubt they will have a Nismo 370z soon after launch though

why wont many of you guys buy 1st year cars ? I mean if it gets the same engine as the g37 right now how much problem has that one brought ? but if its something new we havent seen wouldn't nissan have learn from all the issues they've had in the previously year like 03 04, 07 ?

I agree wit your accessment. Most of the tech on the 370z are already out in some form or the other in other Nissan cars. The engine is gold as seen in the g37, tranny ditto, interior has a mix of 350z/Maxima parts, chassis is proven etc etc etc. I dont see the 370z having the same problems as the first years 350z. 350z was an all new model from the ground up and had lots of teething problems. The 370z is an evolution of the existing model and uses parts proven on other models.

Why do people keep thinking their going to make a NISMO edition 370Z? just because they made them for the 350, it's automatically assumed their making a nismo 370

Well, for the MT cars, it has been rumored there will be the world's first rev matching manual trans. That COULD cause some problems...... if it is true...

I honestly doubt we will be seeing a Nismo 370 Z any time soon. My guess is that it will be 4-5 years into production before they put that out if they do. Plus keep in mind that they will likely have a 40th Anniversary 370 Z for 2010, lighter, more power, with all the creature comforts. Sounds good to me.
