A few more 370z pics
I took a few pics at Nissan of Elk Grove when we followed the 370z from San Jose.:
My other thread broke teh photobukits so I had to upgrade to pro. So now I'll post larger 1024x768-ish pics! (versus 800x600 in the other thread)
The only part that is not growing on me is that stupid flat panel around the wheel arches. I suppose it will come in handy when we slam these cars, but it is sure an eyesore.
Had to get some close-ups of the metal flake in the blue when the sun came out. It looks like non-metallic paint in all the pics I see.
This is the most accurate color of the blue car I have seen in pics. At least on my monitor. I really wish it was a shade or two darker.
Oh, and Nissan clear-bra'd the ***** out of their car. They knew their paint is crap and would never hold up to driving across america. THey clear-bra'd: The entire front bumper, hood, front quarter-panels, a-pillars, mirrors and about 8" of the roof! You can se it here if you look closely. I dunno if th eorange-peel seen here is from the paint or the cleab-bra film. Either way, it's pretty bad, but hey, it's a very inexpensive sports car so what do you expect?:
Can you see the Z shapes in the next 5 pics? There are Z's all over the car.
Whoah... VIN numbers on the body panels? I don't remember seeing a VIN number on a bodu panel of a 350. Maybe I am just not observant.
The anti-hood-hump: for those that did not like the hood hump on the 07-08, how bout a hood dip?

Agreed. I saw the 370z at the LA Auto Show yesterday and while it does look better in person it still doesn't look good. The exterior is just out of proportion with other elements and the lines are all mixed and awkward. Just not a pretty car. Interior is a nice step up but not a drastic change. The GTR there was the opposite even uglier in person than in pictures (I didn't think that was possible either).
EDIT- Forgot to add the paint on the 370 (if possible) is even worse than on the 350. Look in the pictures above closely all I see is orange peel. :-(
I was pretty disappointed.

Orange peel is on the paint, I just hope Black has a smoother/better paint, cause that's were it's visible the most.
Also why couldn't NISSAN fit LEDs in the headlights dips, seems obvious.

Did anyone else notice the horrible gap on the bumper to hood??? You would think Nissan would bring a better quality car to an "unveiling"!! Perhaps the hood wasn't closed all the way?? Maybe it was previously damaged? Looks like how a bad quality aftermarket body kit fits haha. Nissan, you should be ashamed! Let's hope that kind of quality doesn't show up at the showroom. That will definitely be a deal breaker for me.

Maybe these are early production cars? I know some of the ones that were driven by the various auto journalists over the past few months were not full production models. That said you would think that they would have some "ringers" available for such vigorous inspection by potential buyers.

There are left and right hooks/latches on the 370 hood instead of one in the middle like the 350
