Thanks for the replies, everyone. After watching the video and reading the article on the TE37's, it looks like I'll be saving my pennies for a set.

gurlies love em on my Z haha
Yeah, but the gurlies love the obnoxiously oversized 20" rims the previous owner put on my Z. What do the hell do they know?

Oh boy a Volk wheels thread. Will try to contain my excitement!
Oh boy, a snarky jerk with nothing better to do than make 39k posts on a Z forum. Will try to be more entertaining next time!

The GTS is a good wheel. It's heavy for a Volk wheel but for a "flashy" wheel, it's not so bad.

It has a forged barrel and a cast center. So the spokes are cast but the barrel is going to absorb all of the bumps. So it will be a strong wheel.

If you want a good looking, strong wheel, get the GTS. If you want a lightweight wheel, forget the GTS and look to a monoblock (1 piece forged).

Obviously you're looking for an excuse to buy some knock-off bobo *** wheels, so just go ahead and do it.

Thanks for the clarification... I had it reversed. OP I have 19 TE37's and they're amazing light.

Geez, I just asked a question so I could learn and make an informed decision.

Is this a forum to share information and learn or not?

Engineered using actual engineering principles. Quality materials. Always strong, sometimes light.

A lot of good information in here for the OP. As a GTS owner I couldn't be happier. The GTS is a strong wheel for sure. I feel as though its one of the best looking wheels in the Volk lineup in my opinion The rear wheel (19x10.5) weighs 27.6 pounds. The fronts obviously weigh less. If you are going to be involved in tracking your car or want a ligher wheel you should look into te37's

The same people that swear by Volks and will put you down for buying the "imitation" are a large subset of ones that will sport replica bodykits. Teh irony

I, for one, am glad you asked. I'm looking to get wheels myself and was thinking about Volks. I'm just concerned with putting that much money so close to the ground... but if they hold up well to every day wear, then it might be worth it. Was looking at some Five:AD wheels otherwise... : /

Volks are strong and when your on them they give you a satisfying confidence. If you can afford them awesome if not don't sweat it and take some time searching for the best deal if ur on a budget!

Maybe they're just smart buyers... some of the replicas are better than the originals...

as with any "luxury" good, high end watches, designer hand bags, etc etc.

you are definitely going to get a good quality product....but a lot of the price comes from the brand name obviously.

you get diminishing returns for your money as you go higher and higher up the totem pole
