Regardless, I've decided to only drive my car on the lowest map anyway. The more power...the more things will break. I want no more problems after spending over $104,000 on this car I'm playing it safe.

My Z is going to be turning into a once and a while car anyway because it's just not as streetable anymore. It's sorta annoying to drive. Currently considering a 335i, G37s, or Audi A5/S5 for a daily driver. It's a difficult decision. Wanted to wait for a GTR, but I refuse to pay a markup (especially a $20,000 one).

Pretty sure my racing days are over. As you know, it gets pretty expensive when parts break or wear out. Trying to avoid that and want to just enjoy the car when I drive it. Peace.

The Xceed BBQ was great. (Although I came in a RX8 - yes, yes I know.) I'm looking to pick up a 350Z as soon a local guy buys my Shiro Z31.

Bob told me that you guys were driving fricken F1 style on the way there.

The BBQ was fun, it could have been better.

We should have our own BBQ for us people that always hang out (not jsut a Z meet b!tches). Grill it up, have some beers, tell stupid stories. It would be cool.

I didnt notice it at the BBQ but looking at the photos, I see something like that.

im taking my car to the dick scott nissan of canton tomorow morning for a checkup...motors doing something thats been bugging me for a few days.

anyone had any work done there? they do good work? ive heard a few good things about this dealer inparticular...any help is appreciated.

 

They are a great dealership in my opinion.

I had a 5th gear grind in my Z, took the car to both Suburban NIssan dealerships, the car was there for a few weeks and they gave me the big F you.

Took the car to Dick Scott for the same problem, I literally pulled out of the lot, got up to 40mph, put the car in 5th, the technician heard the grind, told me to turn around and that the new transmission would be in the car in about 1 week.

It was great.

If I ever own a nissan again, I will only take the car there, no matter how far out of the way it is.

A dealership is only as good as its service department.

 

^ I agree. I'll drive to Dick Scott anytime I need something done a dealership. They replaced my top under warranty.

We ended up at Malarkey's in Southgate. It was a good time.

Me and AJ had to do a little run on I75 so I could see how the '08 pulls. Once I got above 6k, my hp tapered off and his just kept on pullin. He said he was shifting at like 7900... nice. Video would have been cool.

On the way there, me and Jeff were just about to do a run, and noticed a cop up ahead. That put a quick stop to our fun.

Yes, shortly after we got there, someone wrote my350z.com in front of the cars.

And I'm up for a bbq and some beers anytime.

reason im asking is becuase its not throwing a CEL. its just stuttering every minute or so when im at idle...it just doesnt sound healthy...so im hopeing they know whats causing it and will replace it through nissan.

 

it doesnt sound like its misfiring either, its just a reaaaaaallly light knock. barely noticable...but enough to bug the hell outta me.
