Default Piston and Rod Weight Comparison

Investigating parts for my build and was looking for the weight of each manufactures components. I have listed the ones that I have found and would be great if others could add to it. This is based on a VQ35DE.

Not sure if it is worth a sticky but the mod's can decide on that.

Connecting Rod (Grams / HP per Rod)
STOCK = 54?
PAUTER = 630-640
EAGLE = 550
CARRILLO PRO-H = 544
CARRILLO PRO-SA = 517
BRAIN CROWER PRO SERIES = 532
GTM VQ35 = 480 / 200
GTM VQ35 EXTREME DUTY = 500 / 350
COSWORTH FORGED STEEL A BEAM =
COSWORTH FORGED STEEL H BEAM =

Pistons (Grams)

STOCK = 393
GTM / ARIAS VQ35 EXTREME DUTY LIGHTWIEGHT = 386
GTM / WISECO VQ35 EXTREME DUTY LIGHTWIEGHT = 409
ARIAS = 356
MAHLE = 365
WISECO = 376
CP = 380

you may want to consider adding pin weights too.

Also, the Mahle pistons weigh 365g.

added Mahle weight. Pin weights would differ but will prove difficult to find out their weights. Good point though

Great thread!

It would also be beneficial to post any known failures in VQ35 motors. I don't know of any such component failures, but if anybody else does, please post them along with the hp level at which the failures occured.

Also, to the moderators, this should probably be made a sticky...

I cannot edit my original post above for some reason. CP = 380

Still haven't found stock weight though.

Keep in mind some of the info is from original vendor documentation and some is from workshops/threads that I have spoken with.
