I checked about a spring compressor as well and they rent them out down the street. They are free you just pay for the tool and then are reimbursed as long as you bring it back in good condition.

Seems like there is a lot more buzz going on with the thread and ideas are flying around, so I am going to list whats going on for anyone to join. I know certain days are hard for people. I am going to list whats going on and I would like to know head counts for who is interested and when.

Devirginized at Epping

So, I went to the Drag Strip in Epping tonight. And didn't do too well. Though it was my very first time ever driving a car like that. And I see some people mention horrible times and do not post them. Well I'm not afraid to share my "accomplishments" with all of you. So here ya go. Along with reasons why...

First Ever 1/4 Mile Run.

Yes, that's right. 19.616 @59MPH. Car is a speed demon. Anyway, this is what happened. I get to the line and the light turns green. I give it a lot of gas and quickly take my foot off the clutch. It gets up to 7k rpm and I shift, BUT the clutch pedal only comes up halfway. So I'm like "wtf" and "oh f*ck". But eventually it engages and comes back up. And I don't really speed into the end. Just a nice 50 mile an hour cruise.

While waiting for the next run, I asked some guys why that happened, and they said the clutch just didn't engage and was just spinning or something. Didn't fully understand how that works.

Second Ever 1/4 Mile Run.

Oh yeah! That's what I'm talkin' 'bout 15.554 @90.78mph. That's a 4 second difference. I'm like the flu; learn and adapt. Well, this was still pretty damn slow. This time, I got off the line pretty well. Very very little wheel spin and the clutch pedal acted normal. But that's where the problems started. 1st to 2nd @7000 rpm, 2nd to 3rd @5500 rpm and 3rd to 4th at 4500 rpm..... You see; I'm not used to shifting so late. And I also didn't floor it after 2nd gear. Only gave about 70-80% throttle. Once again, just not used to driving that fast, and so my brain memory took over as the slow *** driver. Oh yes, and I decided to coast into the finish line in neutral with about 20-30 feet left.

And so those are my first ever quarter mile races. It was wicked fun despite my inability to drive. Accelerating to that speed is such a rush. Cannot wait to go back.

On a side note, I saw another PPW Z, and a Blue one with Black rims. One of you guys?

EDIT: And I know this has been on everybody's minds; My MPG in the 1/4 mile was 2.3
