Have any of you guys ever been to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon New Hampshire? I work with a guy that takes his bike up there for open track days. And it looks like they have one for cars as well.

Here's the site: http://www.nhms.com/schedule/opentest/details/

It's a 1.6 mile track. And it looks like the next day is the 25th of September.

I would personally enjoy a nice long track than a drag strip to fool around with in the Z because I don't get to on the streets. (I drive like an old lady)

So... has anyone taken their cars here? Or heard anything about this?

Drivers and riders wishing to participate in the Speedway Open Test Sessions should have either a valid competition license or a certificate from an approved racing school.
Quoted from the website. I don't have either of those

I know, but the guy I work with doesn't have either of those, and he has no problem racing up there on his bike. I will call this place up to verify what exactly are the requirements.

Hmmm, just called and the lady didn't seem to have much information. But she did say that you would need a licence from a school, or that certificate. But no info on where to get either of those. Time to search.

Here are a couple of companies that do track days at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH.

http://www.scda1.com/

http://www.comscc.com/

Gonna do some more research and post it here.

EDIT: Looks like about $250 for each event.

2nd run, after waiting for over an hour, I spun 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Track was so cold at theat point and I just had a poor showing.

I don't know if you guys saw me screw up run 3?
I would have sooo owned that silly little skittle.
It should have been my best run.
I had a decent reaction time and all would have been well( Prob 12.9 or so ) but my tranny decided to kick me out of second gear
My car does it at high rpm's going into second occasionally but this time was very very aggrivating.

14.3 was still my best, blah.

I was launching at 2k and I could prob drop that to 1800 or so. Damn base model !

October 4th ....hmmm. Its a Saturday. I should be free. That Sunday is the Newport Car Show. There is going to be a lot of driving that weekend. The following Sunday (12th) is the Mnt Run too.
